About Us
Hello, I'm Steve the director, secretary, driver, telephone operator at Celtic Waste Limited.
I'm a fully qualified time served carpenter and joiner with 40 years experience in the building trade. I worked all over the country in many aspects of building from shop and bar fitting to timber frame erection, In 1995 I met my wife Elaine and lived for 2 years in Manchester with her, in 1997 we got married and moved back home to Aberystwyth where we'd been building a new house.
I set up and ran successfully a building company carrying out new build houses and extensions and all kinds of other work from green fields to refurbishment. During these 40 years I spent a lot of time working on and with drainage.
Life had its ups and downs and with it came the chance to do my HGV class 1 licence so for the past 7 years I've also enjoyed plenty of HGV driving work as the aches and pains in my joints and body slow down the building work.
During this time I did a lot of work driving for my good friend who used to own the very respected Abba drains before they sold out last year to a Hereford based company.
Early this year Elaine and myself had the idea that buying a vacuum tanker and setting up to offer the same great service that Abba used to provide but now lost locally would be a good idea so that I could get back to being what I have always been ....my own boss!
So that brings us to where we are today, a family business, small enough to care but big enough to offer the full service with care and respect for all our new customers.
Although we are a new start business we are already gaining a reputation for friendly reliable service and that is how we mean to carry on.
